We had an awesome time exploring downtown LA with these two. They introduced us to a delicious new smoothie place and we got to see some cool sights we had never seen before.

These two had a super quaint and intimate wedding. It was held at Elings Park in Santa Barbara. They had about 20 of their closest friends and family in attendance. It was beautiful, sweet, and full of some gorgeous Santa Barbara fog.
Love this quote.

Steph: intimate weddings are my absolute favorite. I love it all, especially the dark foggy shots, so cool! (21/04/12, 12:55)
Lisa Travers: What a gorgeous couple! These photos are absolutely stunning! You have such talent :D (21/04/12, 06:50)
Emily Heizer Photography: I love the 70's boho vibe this wedding gives off. The image that stuck out the most to me is of her knee as her leg goes into the dress. I love the composition, I love the IDEA. It is a new idea, and it's lovely. It made me stop and think. I love that. Low contrast black and whites rock, as always. (21/04/12, 11:36)
Nessa K: These are so absolutely beautiful. I absolutely adore the black and white of the groom carrying her. That needs to be printed large and put on a wall of it's very own. :) (23/04/12, 08:48)
Cami Parker: this makes my heart happy. so lovely. (23/04/12, 10:05)

Kim and Kevin got married in Half Moon Bay, CA at Long Branch Saloon & Farm. Ever since we shot Kim & Kevin’s engagement session, we were excited for this one. They really did have a beautiful wedding & fantastic details, but also had great family and friends around them to make such a beautiful weekend. Plus, the Half Moon Bay area around the wedding was just a perfect landscape. When we arrived on Friday it was like super duper windy. But the following day was just too perfect. It made me love the San Francisco area even more. :)
This wedding was actually featured on the amazing Green Wedding Shoes, so go give her some blog love for us!

When I look back at this session, all I remember is how brave and adventurous these two were for coming up to Park City, UT during the Sundance Film Festival in an insanely crazy blizzard and then also braving everything to shoot something I’m proud to share today. :) I remember shooting this snowy bride and groom session awhile back and trying to compare and it’s impossible. They both throw in challenges of cold, wetness, craziness, beauty, etc. I was just stoked at how brave they were and never once did they complain. I think looking back it snowed close to 24″ in Park City, UT that couple days. It was honestly one of my most favorite weekends ever!

Becky McArthur: GORGEOUS!!! (13/03/12, 06:01)
Emily Heizer: Now that is a real snow session! Holy cow! What brave people madeline and Andrew are! Good going guys, and PROPS to Matt & Angie- my lenses steam up half the time when I'm out in that white fluffy stuff! :) (13/03/12, 07:23)
Jesse Pafundi: So much awesomeness here. (14/03/12, 09:25)
Bruce A. Ulrich: Some fantastic colors against the snow. Great shots! (14/03/12, 01:23)
Sara Lucero: how absolutely dreamy! and i respect her decision to wear a dress in the snow. maaaaad props to her! (14/03/12, 01:26)
Carolyn Scott: These are gorgeous! Major kudos and props to Madeline and Andrew for being awesome enough to not be scared of the snow and wet clothes! It was definitely worth it! (14/03/12, 01:33)
Jenna: I LOVE brave and adventurous couples. These are so beautiful and so fun! (15/03/12, 09:43)
Cami Dunn: looove. shooting in snow is so much harder then it looks. adorbs. (16/03/12, 11:00)

Janelle + Johnathan’s Hawaiian Elopement
02.27.2012 | Weddings | 14 comments
When Janelle & Johnathan contacted us, I was so stoked! I’ve always wanted to shoot a wedding in Hawaii. But to be able to spend a full day with just a couple in Hawaii, felt like a dream come true. It was only my 2nd time ever on the Island of Oahu. The last time on Oahu was with the Mammoth Men, which is always an adventure. I shot a quick portrait/engagement session the night before. We met again at the raddest spot in Hawaii and this is where they actually got married. :)
After that, we were able to explore a ton of the Island of Oahu. They were the best sports and we even stopped a couple times to eat. Most of the places we stopped had meaning to them which made it so fun for me to hear about them and their stories. For instance, one of the last spots was a super rocky area where they actually got engaged and it was super hard to walk on in sandals but was one of the awesomest things to experience on the North Shore. So happy for Janelle & Johnathan and glad to count them as friends since this experience. :)
